Well just like I said in my video post a few day back Rick Sanchez. The worlds dumbest reporter got fired or resigned from CNN. In its press release CNN does not say how Sanchez left

Atlanta, Georgia (CNN) — CNN anchor Rick Sanchez abruptly left the network Friday afternoon, just one day after making controversial comments on a satellite radio program.
“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company,” according to a statement from CNN. “We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well.”
On Thursday, Sanchez appeared on the XM Sirius radio program “Stand-Up with Pete Dominick.” During the interview with Dominick, Sanchez called “The Daily Show’s” Jon Stewart “a bigot” and then said that he was bigoted against “everybody else who’s not like him. Look at his show, I mean, what does he surround himself with?”
Dominick pressed for specifics, and Sanchez, who is Cuban-American, responded, “That’s what happens when you watch yourself on his show every day, and all they ever do is call you stupid.”
Dominick, who was once the warm-up comic at Stewart’s Comedy Central show and now has a spot on CNN’s “John King, USA,” noted that Stewart is Jewish and so a minority himself.
“I’m telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart, and to imply that somehow they, the people in this country who are Jewish, are an oppressed minority? Yeah,” Sanchez responded.
The comments were widely quoted online and on social media.
Sanchez’s 3 to 5 p.m. daily spot will be filled by “CNN Newsroom” for the “foreseeable future,” CNN said.
The links at the top of the story might tell the story though. The link to Jon Stewart not one about Anti Semitism. But the blog world was on fire with such references as shown in this story on the matter from the Politico.
Rick Sanchez fired from CNNBy KEACH HAGEY | 10/1/10 6:27 PM EDT Updated: 10/1/10 7:31 PM EDT
Rick Sanchez lost his job at CNN on Friday, a day after giving a satellite radio interview in which he called Jon Stewart a “bigot” and suggested that Jews run CNN and the news media in general.
“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company,” CNN said in a statement. “We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well.“
CNN said it would broadcast CNN Newsroom from 3-5pm, the slot formerly held by “Rick’s List,” for the foreseeable future. The move comes a day after Sanchez did his final guest hosting in CNN’s 8 p.m. slot, which will be taken over by the new show, Parker Spitzer, on Monday.
Sanchez has been the frequent butt of jokes on both the “Daily Show” and the “Colbert Report,” which have mocked him for stunts like submitting to being tased on the air. Just last week, Colbert mocked Sanchez’s endorsement of his Oct. 30th rally, saying “Oh, my God. It’s like I’m a freshman and I’ve just been befriended by a loser upper-classman.”
During an interview Thursday with Stand Up With Pete Dominick, he complained that Stewart and Colbert are “elite, Northeast establishment liberals,” and added “I think Jon Stewart’s a bigot.”
Dominick, who once worked for Stewart as an audience warm-up comedian, pressed him on the point, and Sanchez elaborated: “I think he looks at the world through his mom, who was a school teacher, and his dad, who was a physicist or something like that. Great, I’m so happy that he grew up in a suburban middle class New Jersey home with everything you could ever imagine.”
When Dominick argued that “bigot” was still pretty strong, Sanchez said: “That’s what happens when you watch youself on his show every day, and all they ever do is call you stupid.” He eventually walked back the “bigot” comment and said Stewart was “prejudicial” and “uninformed.”
When Dominick pointed out that Stewart, as a Jew, was also part of a minority, Sanchez, who is Cuban-American, retorted: “Yeah. Yeah. Very powerless people. Please. What, are you kidding?”
“I’m telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart. And to imply that they – the people in this country who are Jewish – are an oppressed minority. Yeah.”
Some, such as Washington Post’s Greg Sargent, have argued that Sanchez’s meaning in the last statement could be up for dispute, since it occurred during a discussion of the white Northeastern liberal establishment.
But others interpreted the comments to be anti-Semitic. “Shame on Rick Sanchez!,” said Elan Steinberg, vice president of American Gathering of Holocaust Survivors and Their Descendants, in a statement Friday. “His public feud with Jon Stewart does not give him license to malign the Jewish people with a classical retread of anti-Semitic bigotry.”
Sanchez did not appear on his show Friday, though his Facebook page said he was at a book signing in Atlanta.
The firing comes during a time of extreme turmoil at CNN. Jon Klein was fired from his job as the president of CNN’s domestic channel on Sept. 24, before two primetime shows that he hired talent for could hit the air. Sanchez, who joined CNN in 2004, was given his own show in January.
Rick may not have been the brightest bulb in the box and he was a great Youtube moment maker. I hope he lands somewhere where he can NOT be a commentator but go back to being a news reader. Water finds its own level and CNN tried to elevate Sanchez like the Panama Canal. The experiment failed and Sanchez was a victim or his own lack of self-awareness.
Good Luck Rick I hear there are many small markets looking for a desk jockey.
