Worst Case Scenario

In this era you should expect a camera or two at any event.  But I have listened to what Romney said about the 47% and I have to tell you the media (lets just call them the left) has it dead wrong.  That sadly is to be expected as they sleep with President Obama more  than Monica Lewinsky shared a cigar with Bill Clinton in the Oval Office.

Romney in his discussion with potential donors was laying out a political strategy and what he said from my take was that in terms of votes you have to forget the 47% and write them off as Obama votes.  I don’t know about you folks but I call this a worst case scenario.  It appears to me that Mitt understood the potential to lose at least 47% of the vote based solely on Obama’s charisma and ability to lie to the masses about what he is doing.  So politically you write off those 47% and focus on the rest of the country.  Polls show this to be a close race and Romney is not stupid, he knows he needs to move that middle ground.

What he was laying out was a political strategy on winning an election.  Not an indictment of that 47%.  Many of whom are unwitting victims of the policies of Barack Obama.  Food Stamp payments are up, and while unemployment dropped it is mostly due to people giving up looking for jobs.  Apathy now rules the land and any candidate who does not acknowledge that is doomed.

The left will spin these comments the best they can because they can’t really tell you the truth about the record of Barack Obama, but the numbers don’t lie.  Highest Gas prices Ever!  Including a rise in price after labor day, which has historically never happened. Unemployment above 8 percent for the longest time in modern history.  The nationalization of a car company and the sale of another to a foreign entity.  And government control of both the healthcare and credit system.
Romney has a lot to talk about but who can he talk to?  He stated the worst case scenario hoping for the best.  How about you?  My worst case scenario is 4 more years of Barack Obama with a Senate controlled by Harry Reid.  Even if Romney gets elected without the Senate nothing will get done.  SO forget the chatter from the left.  Think about this.

Take back the country!  Ignore the distractions!

Romney applauded by the NAACP?

Did you hear Romney got booed by the NAACP? I am sure you did, it has been all over the news.  They report that Romney attacked Obamacare and the crowd booed him.  This is big news to the media.  For the record Romney was talking about wasteful spending and threw the Obamacare mention in there. But what they won’t say, because it does not fit the narrative that Romney is bad and Obama is the Savior, is that there was a little bit of applause for Romney that night.  Here is a list complied by the Reverend Wayne Perryman.  Just a short one.  Nothing to discuss or let the newspaper or TV watching audience know.

Times When  They Applauded                     His Comment
1:56                                                          He would represent every race
2:58                                                          He will help the middle class
3:58                                                          He complimented the NAACP
6:39                                                          You are entitled to an answer
7:27                                                          A quote from Frederick Douglass
8:27                                                          Blacks have waited long enough
9:53                                                          He supports strong families & traditional marriages
11:15                                                        He will help the middle class
11:58                                                        Bring Jobs back to the United States
12:24                                                        He will clamp down on cheaters like China who steal our jobs
12:52                                                        He will stop spending
13:02 -13:18                                             He was booed regarding overturning Obama Care
14:22                                                        He would protect social Security and Medicare with higher benefits for those with lower income and lower for higher income
14:51                                                        He refers to minimum wage jobs and the need for skilled workers
15:52                                                        Wages will rise again
16:28                                                        His goal as President it to create jobs for American people
16:39                                                      If you want a president to make things better for the African-American Community, you’re looking at him
18:12                                                        The 4 year Scholarships program that he created while governor
19:58                                                        He joined with the Black Legislative Caucus in Mass to promote Charter Schools
20:36                                                        He won’t let special interest groups stand in the way of education reform
21:03                                                        Money for education will be linked to the student for true choice
21:49                                                        The hospitality that they (NAACP) will be returned and he will seek their counsel
22:12                                                        If they invite him back next year as President he will say “Yes”
22:57                                                        He talks about his father as a man that he admired for equality and justice
23:14                                                        His father was a man of faith that knew that everyone was God’s children
24:01                                                        He said God’s Mercy endureth forever
24:55                                                        NAACP and their past victories and their victories in the future
25:15                                                       Ended his speech
They Applauded Total of 27 times in 25 Minutes
One boo and 25 rounds of applause.  Seems like they like his speech.   So one needs to ask how did Obama fair while he was talking to the NAACP?  Well with black unemployment at 14 percent higher than any other group you have to figure it did not go well for the incumbent.  You would be wrong.  Obama did not speak to the NAACP.  Wouldn’t get near them.  He sent Joe Biden to talk to the people he swears he loves and represents.  But he does not have time to publicly talk to them.
Well you can imagine the crowd that showed up to listen to Joe Biden speak about the black issue in America.  A reporter tweeter about the crowd in this TWEET!  The tweet included a picture, please view it. AH what the heck let me put it here too.  The picture was taken by Rodney Hawkins.
Impressive huh?  The media is spinning stuff in ways some can’t imagine or fathom.  Pass this on.  The lies are thick in the Main Stream Media.
BTW  Rev Perryman and Rodney Hawkins, both black.  So much for all blacks being FOR Obama.  Many are seeing him for what he really is.

Alan Colmes: Out of Bounds!

If you will indulge me. Click on the link and watch this video.  No need to watch the whole debate but the very first thing Alan Colmes talks about.

http://nation.foxnews.com/rick-santorum/2012/01/02/fiery-debate-breaks-out-between-lowry-and-colmes

I can not begin to tell you how wrong what aired today on Fox News Channel is.  Alan Colmes literally mocked the reaction of a grieving family over how they handled that grief.   How can any human honestly believe that they can say what is weird and what is not when it comes to the grief process.  But it gets worse.

Mark McKinnon one of the founders of “No Labels” a group of people from both parties and some independents decided to weigh in on Santorum to Fox News Radio, here is what MCKinnon had to say:

With the prospect of former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum running for president (Iowa is nice the time of year.), former Bush adviser Mark McKinnon is scared by the thoughtof such a possibility.

“Santorum represents, in my view, much of what is wrong the in the Republican Party. While I disagree with him on some fundamental issues, I am much more concerned with his lack of character.”

And then there is this little known tidbit: “I’m a pretty tolerant guy, but beyond his ideology, some of Santorum’s behavior is just a little bizarre. For example, Santorum has six children. In 1996, he had son born prematurely who lived for only two hours. He and wife brought the child home and introduced the dead infant to the rest of their children as ‘your brother Gabriel’ and slept with the body overnight.”

Based on what I can see of McKinnon he is not by any means a conservative.  His view of the conservative movement as a problem for tthe Republican party.  But more importantly he has the temerity to call Santorum’s actions bizarre.  This was a guy who worked for G.W.  Bush.

Getting back to Colmes, I guess Alan does not read Salon.com much. Here is a 2008 piece by a college professor Elizabeth Heineman who lost her full term baby during childbirth. Please have a look at this story and tell me how different it is from the Santorum scenario?

http://life.salon.com/2011/10/07/my_stillborn_childs_life_after_death/singleton/

The bond between mother and child and for that matter father and child should not be a state dictated or for that matter hospital dictated process.  Alan Colmes calling out Santorum’s moment of grief on national televison should go down in history as one of the most evil acts in political history.  It was nothing short of a bold-faced attack on what Alan sees as a conservative.  He obviously did not take the feelings of Santorum or his wife into account.  Nor did he consider the many other people like Elizabeth Heineman who chose to bond with their babies before having to bury them.

Alan , now would be a good time to apologize to anyone with a heart. Since you seem to lack one.

The real America is voting now!

The framers of the Declaration and the Constitution went to great pains to insure the freedom of the people to interact without government intervention.  Over the last 100 years forces in our country who do not believe that private citizens know what is good for them have pushed the government slowly toward a European model.  Many of the governments in those countries where in place at the time of the founding of this country and those forms of government were soundly rejected by the founders.  The model for America was for the people to have the power and the government to protect and defend. It did allow for limited oversight and that was only to keep the states from harming each other in commerce.  And that is where I will go with this post.

The United States Government, led by the political elite, has stepped over the line and put themselves into our day-to-day existence. Business is moving jobs off shore and manufacturing is in real trouble.  Why?  Because in the name of protecting you the powers that be have placed unnecessary regulations on production in the United States.  We no longer start new drilling or build new refineries in this country.  How can that not benefit the nation?  The Us Department of Energy was created to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. That has been a miserable failure we are more dependent on foreign oil than ever and many of the countries that produce it are our enemies.

Now as the very distracting debate on the debt crisis has come to an end we find out that Consumer spending has dropped   The AP reported that the decrease was from the moderation of Oil and food prices.  The price of gas did not modulate and food prices are not going down.  This is nothing more than the media blunting the blow of the fact that we are seeing the people of this country vote with their dollars.   Guess what the people of the this country are saying?  This is not working and I don’t have any extra money to spend.  This one fact has caused the stock market,  Obama’s one bragging point, to drop below his vaunted 12000 threshold.  That is because the people on Wall Street oddly were drinking the Obama Kool-aid after the second stimulus increased all of their profits on the backs of the American citizens.  Well Obama’s chickens have come home to roost and it is in the pocketbooks of the Wall Street fat cats that lower consumer spending really hurts.   You see America it is the ability of you and I to spend that drives this nation.

So here is a great idea.  Spend on only what you can.  Punish the President, the crooked congress and the businesses in bed with them sucking your money out of your pockets.  Make them hurt.

The People of this country are its power.  It is the will of the people that drove this country to greatness.  Do not allow your will to be broken by success. F

Continue voting until we rid ourselves of the evil power brokers who run Washington and your political parties!

I have come to hate fundraising e-mails!

I will use a letter sent to a friend from a person who is a Tea Party Candidate.  Please read this letter.

Dear T,

I will not vote to raise the debt ceiling.

The answer to our nation’s spending problem is not to spend more — it is to reduce our spending and balance the budget. President Obama is approaching the debt ceiling the wrong way. Any plan that begins by raising the debt ceiling is the wrong plan.

That’s why I’m writing you today — I need to know you agree with me that we simply cannot afford to raise the debt ceiling. Will you help me deliver this message loud and clear by making an emergency contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250 or any amount up to the $2,500 limit?

I will not sit by and watch Barack Obama mislead the nation while simultaneously jeopardizing our children’s and grandchildren’s future. I continue to stand up against not only Barack Obama and the Democrats but also the leadership of my own party when I don’t agree with them.

It’s time to make the tough choices and make the spending cuts necessary to balance our budget. I am running for President of the United States to restore our constitutional conservative values to government and put our nation back on a path towards prosperity.

Will you let me know you stand with me by making a special emergency gift to my campaign today? Your contribution will help me continue to spread the word about the President’s disastrous policies and why it’s wrong to increase the debt ceiling without repealing Obamacare and balancing our budget.

Barack Obama’s failed leadership and shameful spending policies have single-handedly put our nation at risk. It is time to stand up to the president and say “no more.”

Will you stand with me today? Your immediate donation will enable my campaign to have the funds necessary to reach out to other like-minded conservatives across the nation.

The Democrats will stop at nothing to silence our voices, but make no mistake — I’ll work even harder to ensure our voices are heard, and I know that you will too.

I look forward to continuing the fight for our constitutional conservative values, and I thank you once more for your friendship and support.

Sincerely,

Michele Bachmann

P.S. Rather than cut spending and get our county back on the right track, Barack Obama is willing sit back and watch our economy slip into another recession. Please show your support for my campaign today by making a donation of $25, $50, $100, or any amount up to the $2,500 legal limit today!

Both my friend and I get letters from candidates almost daily.  I have come to hate this letter.  If you have ever received one from anyone, what you are looking at is the basic formula to get you to give to a campaign.  Sadly, these letter are almost always about a singular issue that the candidate tells you they are OUTRAGED about.  They then tell you the  only way to defeat the offender is to give to the candidate.

In this case Michelle Bachmann says we need to make an EMERGENCY donation?  Why?  Will giving her money today actually make a difference in the debt debate?  This is an insidious format and as soon as I get a fundraising letter from a candidate in this particular format, and that is often, they will not receive my support.

To be sure this format is used by both sides.  Here is one from MoveOn.org.

Mike –

Holy smokes! We can win in Wisconsin!

Yesterday we sent you an email asking you to chip in to help win the recall elections that could undo the attacks on workers in Wisconsin. As of yesterday afternoon, we had blown through our initial goal of $185,000! We’ve now doubled our goal to $370,000 so we can double down on our efforts.

The recall elections in Wisconsin are just 40 days away. This is a huge chance to reverse the infamous anti-worker law that took away bargaining rights from teachers and other public workers. If progressives unseat just three of the six Republicans facing recall, Democrats will take back control of the state senate.

It was revealed yesterday that one of the Republicans being recalled said, “We’ve got tons of government workers in my district—tons…We’ve got to hope that they, kind of, are sleeping” on Election Day.1 We can’t let that happen—together, we can make sure ALL the voters are awake.

Can you donate $5 right now to help us mobilize voters to the polls in Wisconsin and stop the tea party Republicans in their tracks?

Thanks for all you do.

–Adam

Yes I get mail from them  why wouldn’t I?

The format is not far off.  Crisis!  The Enemy!  Donate Now or we lose!

Why must they create a monster to get our money from us.   This is the e-mail version of the mud-slinging ad on television.   I never liked those either.  Tell me what you stand for not why the other guy is evil.  Enough!

Newt Gingrich shows he is out of touch.

Wow, what a weekend for Presidential Candidates in the Republican field.  Trump combs over his candidacy with a not to his TV show.  I guess he can make more money on the boob tube.  Same goes for Mike Huckabee, who decided that Fox News is a better spot for him than the Presidential race for 2012.  But one man, Newt Gingrich, decided he was all in last week and hit the ground stumbling this weekend.

When asked about Paul Ryan’s proposal to turn Medicare into a premium support tool Gingrich very stupidly showed his anti-conservative hand by saying this.

“I don’t think right-wing social engineering is any more desirable than left-wing social engineering. I don’t think imposing radical change from the right or the left is a very good way for a free society to operate. I think we need a national conversation to get to a better Medicare system with more choices for seniors.”

Right-Wing Social Engineering?  How very old guard of Gingrich.  He just single-handedly killed any hope of getting Ryan’s budget a serious consideration and pretty much gave the Democrats a sound bite to defeat the young Mr Ryan.   So as we can see the old guard is striking back through Newt.  And this will be his undoing.  Many voters know we can not turn back the clock but we need to turn spending around and Medicare and Medicaid are big issues and big drains on tax dollars.

Newt was not done inserting his foot in his mouth though.  He continued.  When pressed by David Gregory on health insurance payments Gingrich again tripped over his own truths and said this.

REP. GINGRICH: …I believe all of us — and this is going to be a big debate — I believe all of us have a responsibility to help pay for health care. I think the idea that…

MR. GREGORY: You agree with Mitt Romney on this point.

REP. GINGRICH: Well, I agree that all of us have a responsibility to pay — help pay for health care. And, and I think that there are ways to do it that make most libertarians relatively happy. I’ve said consistently we ought to have some requirement that you either have health insurance or you post a bond…or in some way you indicate you’re going to be held accountable.

MR. GREGORY: But that is the individual mandate, is it not?

REP. GINGRICH: It’s a variation on it.

A variation on the individual mandate?  Huh?   Newt is supposed to be a conservative hero and here he is bolstering what is the pillar of Obamacare.  The individual mandate.    Newt did more that stick his foot in it with this.  He shot himself in the foot and joined the likes of Jeb Bush, Mitch Daniels and even Mitt Romney.  They are looking in the mirror convinced they can win but when they get on camera they can’t explain what needs to happen.

And lets not forget this little gem with the former speaker sitting on the couch with The wicked witch of the west, nancy Pelosi.

Put it all together and what do you have?  The early demise of Newts Campaign.   Here is the best visual of what he did
