The Racist PB and J we eat!

You know what the cheapest and fastest sandwich my parents or even me as a parent could put together was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  Kids love them!  Well actually only “privileged white kids” love them it seems.  This according to a Principal in Portland Oregon  that is a racist sandwich you are eating there.  Here is an excerpt from the Portland Tribune.

Verenice Gutierrez picks up on the subtle language of racism every day.

Take the peanut butter sandwich, a seemingly innocent example a teacher used in a lesson last school year.

“What about Somali or Hispanic students, who might not eat sandwiches?” says Gutierrez, principal at Harvey Scott K-8 School, a diverse school of 500 students in Northeast Portland’s Cully neighborhood.

“Another way would be to say: ‘Americans eat peanut butter and jelly, do you have anything like that?’ Let them tell you. Maybe they eat torta. Or pita.”

Guitierrez, along with all of Portland Public Schools’ principals, will start the new school year off this week by drilling in on the language of “Courageous Conversations,” the district-wide equity training being implemented in every building in phases during the past few years.

Through intensive staff trainings, frequent staff meetings, classroom observations and other initiatives, the premise is that if educators can understand their own “white privilege,” then they can change their teaching practices to boost minority students’ performance.

Last Wednesday, the first day of the school year for staff, for example, the first item of business for teachers at Scott School was to have a Courageous Conversation — to examine a news article and discuss the “white privilege” it conveys.

Most of the staff are on board, but there is some opposition to a drum class being offered to middle school boys of color at Scott School.

Fifty percent of the students at Scott are Hispanic; another 15 percent are black and 9 percent are Asian. Eighty-five percent are eligible for free or reduced-price meals.

Chuck Barber, who also offers boys’ drum corps at Vernon and Faubion schools in Northeast Portland, approached Gutierrez last year to start up a lunch-time drum class for black and Latino boys once a week. This year, it’ll expand to two classes a week, to accommodate new boys as well as those with experience.

At least one parent has a problem with the the class, saying it amounts to “blatant discrimination and equity of women, Asians, whites and Native Americans.”

“This ‘club’ was approved by the administration, and any girls who complained were brushed off and it was not addressed,” the parent wrote anonymously.

Gutierrez denies that any students were turned away from the drum corps, and vehemently rejects any suggestion that it is discrimination to offer a club catering to minority boys.

“When white people do it, it is not a problem, but if it’s for kids of color, then it’s a problem?” says Gutierrez, 40, an El Paso, Texas, native whose parents were Mexican immigrants. “Break it down for me. That’s your white privilege, and your whiteness.”

Okay you read it do you see it?  Who is really the racist here?  This woman is dangerous and she is being supported by her school district.   Even scarier is that she was trained to think this way by a California Based initiative.

A drum line of Hispanic and Black children, whoops BOYS, this group excludes the girls and every other race in the school.  But that is okay with Gutierrez.

Time to write the Portland School District and remove this hater from her position.  But I fear they took the same left leaning white guilt class she did.

One more point about the Portland Tribune and I will provide the link.  They misspelled her name within one paragraph of another mention.  Check it out

The paper and school district want to make this azzhole a hero but what she really does is hate.  She is not unifying she is dividing with the support of the press and the district.  oh and the published the word “the” back to back in the excerpt too.  I did not edit it.  Check for yourself.

A sad situation!

God gets Booed.

Well the Democrats only proved how far left and secular they have become.  Not only do they hate the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they deny this is a country founded on religious faith.  Today they proved it in spades with this voice vote on reinstating references to God and the fact that Jerusalem is the Capitol of Israel.   Watch the hate.

Take a good look at the shirt on the man yelling at the end.  What does it say?  It seems to be Arabic.  He looks angry.  But what was really shocking was that the NO’s won all three votes and when they were overridden they booed.

Time to remove as many of these anti-American Democrats  from office as possible.

Divide and Conquer

On April 24, 2012 the President of the United States went to the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill NC and gave a campaign speech to a bunch of college students.  In that speech the President talked about the importance of a college education.  He said this.

Whether you’re here at a four-year college or university, or you’re at a two-year community college, in today’s economy, there’s no greater predictor of individual success than a good education.  (Applause.)  Right now, the unemployment rate for Americans with a college degree or more is about half the national average.  The incomes of folks with a college degree are twice as high as those who don’t have a high school diploma.  A higher education is the clearest path into the middle class.  (Applause.)

There has become an emphasis on the sheepskin that goes way beyond the reality of the world.  There are plenty of good paying jobs that should not require a college degree.  Will I pay more to a plumber because he has a doctorate?  Will the carpenter be better at his job because he has a Masters?

I did not go to college mainly because I thought my family and I could not afford it.  I chose to enter the military when I graduated High School. Am I a member of the middle class?  I would hope so.  Am I a rich man?  Not by the Presidents standards.  He seems o think that the only path to success is a college education.  he is pitching that BS to every college kid who will listen in an attempt to get another term.  But how should we measure success?  Is it the amount of money we make, or is it the legacy we leave?

Let me share the story of a guy who fought in WWII.  He came home and used the GI bill to attend college. Did he go into the corporate world and bath in the riches of the wealthy?  No, he went into public service and fought a different war for 24 years.  he married the woman of his dreams and had lots of children. He became a rich man but not in the sense that President Obama is preaching to the youth of this country.  His richness was based on the legacy he left and the commitment to family that he lived everyday since his marriage to his wife.  This decorated WWII hero died with a meager savings and enough money to bury his wife and he.  But when he died the children that he brought into this world were there for him.  Sending him into the next life with love and care..

A long time ago I was given a quote from Grady Poulard.  I want to share it with you.

Measure of a Man

The measure of a man is not determined by his show of outward strength, or the volume of his voice, or the thunder of his action.   It is to be seen, rather, in terms of the nature and depth of his commitments, the genuineness of his friendships, the sincerity of his purpose, the quiet courage of his convictions, his capacity to suffer, and his willingness to continue “growing up”

If more people understood this rather than focusing on a college degree the world would be a better place.  The WWII vet is a successful man and I hope someday that people will say I was as successful as him.  Not becasue I received a college degree and made lots of money but because I taught my children well and showed them how to be a committed loving human being.  Not a person driven by monetary gain.

One more point.  I have met more poor great humans beings than rich ones.

The President is trying to divide the country and it is striking to me that he goes to colleges to drive that effort.  Can you name anyone else who used youth against the adults to drive a belief?  I can!

Jumping to Conclusions

The Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case is a very interesting study in jumping to conclusions.  Although the incident happened over a month ago we can say those words in reference to this since that is exactly what everyone seems to be doing.

The AP published a story about the mistrust between Sanford Police and blacks in the town.  The police chief who just stepped down temporarily was put in place to fix that relationship.  Not everyone knows all the facts and yet everyone seems to want to weigh in.

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter called it an assassination on MSNBC.  I had no idea the Mayor who presided over the biggest jump in murders in Philadelphia history had the file from the Sanford Florida Police.  I thought the State Attorney General did and was reviewing.  Hey Mike  if you don’t know SHUT UP!

The President said that if he had a son he would look like Trayvon.  This only shows me that the President never talked to a geneticist.  You see our President is half white and in genetics everything is random.   Obama’s son could look like me!

Al Sharpton and the New Black Panthers  are calling for the arrest of George Zimmerman on the grounds he murdered Trayvon.  Well to be clear the New Black Panthers want him killed and offered ten grand to get that done.  But either way neither of these people have the case file either. And Sharpton is surely doing it to raise his bad ratings!

There is much talk about Zimmerman getting out of his SUV.  If you listen to the call he was out of the SUV BEFORE the police said he does not need to follow Martin.  Many people say the police told him not to get out of the truck.  Not true! The last bit of conversation was not that he was following Trayvon but that he would meet the police at the mailboxes in the development.

Listen to the call  and you tell me what you hear.  By the way  I hear no racial slurs as inferred by some.  He uses the word Assholes but only in reference to the criminals in general not this specific person.  Since this is already out there this is for your information.

I love the one about Zimmerman confronting Trayvon.  Zimmerman while possibly overweight is shorter than me.  I can not imagine him running up to a 6’2″ male and confronting him.  Let’s take this one step further.  Zimmerman had a gun right?  So don’t you think if he was going to confront a potential bad guy he might at least show the weapon and stay far enough away to USE it should the confrontation go bad?

See I am jumping to conclusions too..  We don’t know what happened but at this point the people making these conclusions are raising the debate to a fevered pitch and if George Zimmerman does get exonerated again, you can bet there will be turmoil in the street of at least Sanford Florida.  But since there have been multiple protests in towns and cities all over the country, the reaction could mirror the riots back in the 60’s and 70’s .

People like Al Sharpton would be very happy if that happened.  He is not a man of God.  In my church forgiveness is taught.  It was the subject of the sermon this past Sunday.  Maybe the folks who are today stirring the racial pot for their own political gain should look in the bible they are supposed to represent and see how it is divine to forgive.

Maybe we should all get a copy of Reverend TD Jakes book “Letting it Go”  where he talks about the biblical references to anger and how it destroys people.  That is a man of God and of good faith.

Stop jumping to conclusions and let the facts come out.  Something the press has failed to do up to now, which contributes to the furor.  The best decisions are made with facts.

Dennis Prager on the 10 Commandments, Must Read

Still the Only Solution to the World’s Problems

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

There is only one solution to the world’s problems, only one prescription for producing a near-heaven on earth.

It is 3,000 years old.

And it is known as the Ten Commandments.

Properly understood and applied, the Ten Commandments are really all humanity needs to make a beautiful world. While modern men and women, in their hubris, believe that they can and must come up with new ideas in order to make a good world, the truth is there is almost nothing new to say.

If people and countries lived by the Ten Commandments, all the great moral problems would disappear.

Or, to put it another way, all the great evils involve the violation of one or more of the Ten Commandments.

Here is the case in brief for the Ten Commandments (using the Jewish enumeration, which differs slightly from the Protestant and Catholic):

1. I am the Lord your God.

There are moral atheists and there are immoral believers, but there is no chance for a good world based on atheism. Ultimately, a godless and religion-free society depends on people’s hearts to determine right from wrong, and that is a very weak foundation.

Plenty of people have died in history in the name of God. But many more have been killed, tortured, and deprived of liberty in the name of humanity and progress or some other post-Judeo-Christian value. Religion gave us an Inquisition and gives us suicide terrorists, but the death of God gave us Nazism and Communism, which, in one century alone, slaughtered more than a hundred million people. All the founders of the United States – yes, all – knew that a free society can survive only if its citizens believe themselves to be morally accountable to God.

2. Do not have other gods.

The worship of false gods leads to evil. When anything but the God of creation and morality is worshiped, moral chaos ensues.

No one is godless. Either people worship God, or they worship other gods — nature, intelligence, art, education, beauty, the environment, Mother Earth, power, fame, pleasure, the state, the fuhrer, the party, progress, humanity. The list is almost endless. And no matter how noble — and false gods are often noble — when they become ends in themselves, they lead to evil.

3. Do not take God’s name in vain.

People have misinterpreted this commandment. They think it prohibits saying something like, “Oh, my God, what a home run!” But the Hebrew literally means “do not carry” the name of the Lord in vain.

In other words, we are forbidden from doing evil in God’s name. Only when thus understood does the rest of the Commandment make sense — that God will not “cleanse,” or forgive — the person who does this.

Thus, the Islamist who slits an innocent’s throat while shouting “Allahu Akbar” is the perfect example of the individual who carries God’s name in vain and who cannot be forgiven. These people not only murder their victims, they murder God’s name. For that reason, they do more evil than the atheist who murders.

4. Keep the Sabbath day and make it holy.

Leaving the world one day a week and elevating it above the others is the greatest vehicle to family harmony and to harmony with friends.

One day a week without video games, without parents leaving to go to work or to do their own thing on the computer forces parents and children to spend time together and to actually talk. It even encourages couples to make love. It also weakens the institution of slavery. If even your servants get a day off because God commands it, that means you do not have absolute control over them.

5. Honor your father and mother.

The first thing every totalitarian and authoritarian movement does is to try to undermine parental authority. That’s why it is dangerous, even in a democracy.

Take our universities, for example. Woodrow Wilson, the first progressive president, said, “The use of the university is to make young men as unlike their fathers as possible.”

And that is exactly what colleges have been doing for over a half a century. Instead of searching for truth and beauty, the universities have been alienating American youth from their fathers’ — and the Founding Fathers’ — values.

6. Do not murder.

If people lived by this commandment alone, the world would enter a heavenly state. At the same time, the commandment has been widely misunderstood. The Hebrew originally prohibits murder, not killing. By mistranslating the Hebrew as “Do not kill,” too many modern Westerners have been taught that pacifism is moral and noble. It is neither. It is an accessory to murder, since it prevents pacifists from doing the only thing that stops mass murder — killing the murderers.

The Nazi death camps were liberated by soldiers whose job was to kill murderers, not by pacifists or “peace activists.”

7. Do not commit adultery.

Observance or even near-observance of this commandment alone would end the formation of the underclass. No amount of state aid can do what marriage and commitment to a spouse do to end poverty and almost all social pathologies.

8. Do not steal.

This commandment prohibits the stealing of people, the stealing of property, and the stealing of anything that belongs to another. The first prohibition alone, if obeyed, would have rendered the slave trade impossible.

Protecting the sanctity of private property makes moral civilization possible. That is why the recent riots in London should frighten every citizen of the U.K. and the West generally. Just as the burning of books leads to the burning of people, so, too, the smashing of windows and the looting of property leads eventually to the smashing of heads.

The rampant violation of this commandment by the governments of Africa is the primary reason for African poverty. Corruption, not Western imperialism, is the root of Africa’s backwardness.

9. Do not bear false witness.

Lying is the root of nearly all major evils. All totalitarian states are based on lies. Had the Nazis not lied about Jews, there would not have been a Holocaust. Only people who believed that all Jews, including babies, were vermin, could, for example, lock hundreds of Jews into a synagogue and burn them alive. That similar lies are told about Jews today by Arab governments and by the Iranian state should awaken people to the Nazi-like threat that anti-Semitism still poses.

10. Do not covet your neighbor’s spouse, property, etc.

The cultivation of class warfare — i.e., the cultivation of coveting what richer citizens legitimately own — inevitably leads to violating the other commandments, most particularly the ones that prohibit stealing and murdering.

There is only one way to achieve a great society, and it is not by creating a massive state that doles out other citizens’ money. It is by cultivating citizens who try to live by these Ten Commandments. They are as relevant today as they were 3,000 years ago.

I have come to hate fundraising e-mails!

I will use a letter sent to a friend from a person who is a Tea Party Candidate.  Please read this letter.

Dear T,

I will not vote to raise the debt ceiling.

The answer to our nation’s spending problem is not to spend more — it is to reduce our spending and balance the budget. President Obama is approaching the debt ceiling the wrong way. Any plan that begins by raising the debt ceiling is the wrong plan.

That’s why I’m writing you today — I need to know you agree with me that we simply cannot afford to raise the debt ceiling. Will you help me deliver this message loud and clear by making an emergency contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250 or any amount up to the $2,500 limit?

I will not sit by and watch Barack Obama mislead the nation while simultaneously jeopardizing our children’s and grandchildren’s future. I continue to stand up against not only Barack Obama and the Democrats but also the leadership of my own party when I don’t agree with them.

It’s time to make the tough choices and make the spending cuts necessary to balance our budget. I am running for President of the United States to restore our constitutional conservative values to government and put our nation back on a path towards prosperity.

Will you let me know you stand with me by making a special emergency gift to my campaign today? Your contribution will help me continue to spread the word about the President’s disastrous policies and why it’s wrong to increase the debt ceiling without repealing Obamacare and balancing our budget.

Barack Obama’s failed leadership and shameful spending policies have single-handedly put our nation at risk. It is time to stand up to the president and say “no more.”

Will you stand with me today? Your immediate donation will enable my campaign to have the funds necessary to reach out to other like-minded conservatives across the nation.

The Democrats will stop at nothing to silence our voices, but make no mistake — I’ll work even harder to ensure our voices are heard, and I know that you will too.

I look forward to continuing the fight for our constitutional conservative values, and I thank you once more for your friendship and support.

Michele Bachmann

P.S. Rather than cut spending and get our county back on the right track, Barack Obama is willing sit back and watch our economy slip into another recession. Please show your support for my campaign today by making a donation of $25, $50, $100, or any amount up to the $2,500 legal limit today!

Both my friend and I get letters from candidates almost daily.  I have come to hate this letter.  If you have ever received one from anyone, what you are looking at is the basic formula to get you to give to a campaign.  Sadly, these letter are almost always about a singular issue that the candidate tells you they are OUTRAGED about.  They then tell you the  only way to defeat the offender is to give to the candidate.

In this case Michelle Bachmann says we need to make an EMERGENCY donation?  Why?  Will giving her money today actually make a difference in the debt debate?  This is an insidious format and as soon as I get a fundraising letter from a candidate in this particular format, and that is often, they will not receive my support.

To be sure this format is used by both sides.  Here is one from MoveOn.org.

Mike –

Holy smokes! We can win in Wisconsin!

Yesterday we sent you an email asking you to chip in to help win the recall elections that could undo the attacks on workers in Wisconsin. As of yesterday afternoon, we had blown through our initial goal of $185,000! We’ve now doubled our goal to $370,000 so we can double down on our efforts.

The recall elections in Wisconsin are just 40 days away. This is a huge chance to reverse the infamous anti-worker law that took away bargaining rights from teachers and other public workers. If progressives unseat just three of the six Republicans facing recall, Democrats will take back control of the state senate.

It was revealed yesterday that one of the Republicans being recalled said, “We’ve got tons of government workers in my district—tons…We’ve got to hope that they, kind of, are sleeping” on Election Day.1 We can’t let that happen—together, we can make sure ALL the voters are awake.

Can you donate $5 right now to help us mobilize voters to the polls in Wisconsin and stop the tea party Republicans in their tracks?

Thanks for all you do.

Yes I get mail from them  why wouldn’t I?

The format is not far off.  Crisis!  The Enemy!  Donate Now or we lose!

Why must they create a monster to get our money from us.   This is the e-mail version of the mud-slinging ad on television.   I never liked those either.  Tell me what you stand for not why the other guy is evil.  Enough!
